Sources and dates

Product facts should link to official documentation, release notes, or the maintainer’s repository. Source-check dates describe when we reviewed the source; they do not certify future accuracy. News articles separate the release date from our publication date.

Testing labels

“Source-based” means we reviewed documentation. “Functionally checked” means the stated interaction was exercised in the named environment. Neither label guarantees every environment or use case. We do not describe untested features as tested.

Tutorials and examples

Examples are starting points to adapt to your project. Use the actual repository commands and review the output. A walkthrough should identify its inputs, expected result, useful checks, and known limits.

Directory selection

We prioritize a clear purpose, an identifiable primary source, and useful documentation. Listings show requirements and limitations. Editorial inclusion is not a compatibility guarantee. Any future sponsored placement or affiliate relationship should be identified alongside the relevant link.

Corrections
