THE WORKFLOW

What this skill helps you do

Find useful internal-link gaps, weak anchors, and orphaned pages in a content collection. It keeps the work tied to evidence and the project’s actual constraints.

# Review internal links

Find useful internal-link gaps, weak anchors, and orphaned pages in a content collection.

## Workflow

1. Inventory indexable pages, their primary purpose, and their existing internal links.
2. Group pages by topic and reader journey, then identify important pages with weak contextual support.
3. Recommend links only where the destination helps complete the source page task.
4. Use descriptive anchors that fit the surrounding sentence and avoid repetitive exact-match patterns.
5. After authorized edits, check destination status, link uniqueness, and rendered placement.

Read `references/NOTES.md` before finalizing the work. Follow project instructions and the user's authorized scope. Use available evidence, label assumptions, and never report a check as passing unless it actually ran.

## Deliverable

A prioritized link map or applied edits with destination and render checks. State material limitations and link to changed files or rendered evidence when available.

Limits and considerations

Cannot infer conversions or ranking effects without analytics and later measurement.

Review notes

Structure checked · 2026-09-10

Required frontmatter, folder layout, file inventory, validator run, and generated ZIP round-trip checked. Workflow behavior has not been independently evaluated.

Package checks confirm file structure. They do not establish that a skill works well on every task.
